2013...Say What?!

It's the last day in 2012 and I can hardly wrap my mind around it. The time is here for New Year's resolution lists and new diets. But I usually don't mess with it becuase I know I can't stick with my goals. So while everybody is caught up in their lists and goals, I'm day-dreaming about how great 2013 is going to be.
Here are the top three things in 2013 that I look forward to the most:
  1. Spring Break. Not only is it a week off of school, but I usually go somewhere amazing, and this Spring Break isn't any different. I'm going with my friend, Delaney, and her family to either Colorado for snow sking/tubing or Amelia Island for the beach. Either way I'm really pumped about it and there will definitely be tons of memories made.
  2. SUMMER! I don't think anybody understands how much I love summer. No school, the pool everyday, multiple vacations, track meets, volleyball and track camps, the fair, getting tan, and SUN! All of these mixed together makes up the best season ever and I can hardly wait to see what memories are in store.
  3. And lastly, starting high school. Starting high school will be the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I'm really looking forward to it. Being around older kids will definitely be weird at first, but maybe it'll make immature kids realize how immature they really are which would make school much more enjoyable. I look forward to making new friends, playing more competitive sports, and the next four years.
I'm waving goodbye to 2012 and welcoming 2013 into my life. Here's to another great year!

What's the Holocaust?

The Holocaust? What in the thunder is the Holocaust? When I think of the Holocaust I think of the murdering of millions and millions of Jews led by Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler also had his own army. They were called the Nazi soldiers. Anybody who followed Hitler and his actions were Nazis.

The Perfect Trap

In our book Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Percy, Grover, and Annabeth visit a hotel that tempts kids to stay forever! If someone attempted to trap me in a place forever, these are the things that would keep me hypnotized.

First thing, food. As a lot of people people may know, I like food and lots of different kinds. Meat, fruit, candy, bread, icecream, fries, etcetra, etcetra. If this "trap" had unlimited food, I'd be ALL IN!!

Second thing, every sport court. Athletes are in my family and I guess you could say it doesn't stop at me. I love all kinds of different sports and if I could play any sport I want, for as long as I want, you may have trouble getting me to leave!

The third and final thing, amusement/water parks! I am a sucker for towering water slides and loopy roller coasters! Any time I get the chance to do either, I'm pumped! I can't imagine being able to have unlimited access to all the roller coasters and water slides I wanted! That would be amazing!!

So if you are wanted to trap me in a place forever, these are some hints!

Until next time,
Claire

My Favorite Doll

How many good memories do you have from when you were a  little kid? I have quite a few with my friend, Delaney. One great memory we have is with this baby doll that I got for my birthday one year.

I loved this doll! The baby came with 2 bottles and clothes, so you could feed the baby and even rock it to sleep or else it would cry constantly. It was almost impossible to get the baby to stop crying. So one day, me and Delaney were playing with the doll in my basement. We were so excited because we had finally gotten the baby asleep. We got bored so we went upstairs. A couple days later we were going to play with it again and it was still asleep... we found out it was out of batteries.
